Designing with Flexi Shapes

business edition flexishapes Oct 12, 2020

Point Editing in Silhouette Studio Business Edition!   If you aren’t using one of these upgrade versions of Silhouette Studio, I would recommend it!  And they can be downloaded here.

The Download link for the cut file (in both .studio and .svg format) is at the end of this post!   I have cut the design out of fabric and appliqued onto this tea towel — however, you can cut this out of vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, card stock — or just about anything that you would like!   How cute would this be on the front of a little Halloween card?  Or cut with HTV glitter on a sweatshirt?   You can use this design in so many ways!

The Video above shows you how I created this Candy Corn Shape!

It’s really pretty easy & there are so many things you can create with Flexishapes!  As I said, I cut my design from fabric, using the Cameo 4 and rotary blade.  Fabric can also be cut on other machines with a ratchet blade.   I used a fusible sewable backing, as I wanted to applique this with my sewing machine, but you could certainly use a “no-sew” fusible, such as Heat & Bond Ultrafor a “no-sew” project.   The tea towel came from All About Blanks.

To learn more about cutting fabric & how I stabilize the fabric, you can check out this post!  While the software may look different, the method for working with the fabric is the same.
